Commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway with Dr. Craig Symonds, Professor History Emeritus, United States Naval Academy, and author of a brilliant new recounting of America’s greatest naval victory led by the tactics of Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz. 124th Gillespie County Fair
Date: 8/23/2012 TO 8/26/2012

Activities for the entire family are planned during the four-day Gillespie County Fair including a parade, queen’s contest, horse racing, dancing, music, carnival and midway, livestock shows, agricultural and home products displays and more.
Performing on Friday night, Aug. 24, will be Jake Hooker and The Outsiders.  On Saturday night, Aug. 25, Jody Nix and The Texas Cowboys will be opening for Aaron Watson.  Both concerts will be performed on the outdoor dance pavilion.
